I have been thinking non-stop about events unfolding in the world for the last few days and the sadness of it all is making me feel overwhelmed. The reality is, my friends can die and the world just moves forward right?



I was going to go off on a big tangent about "the" war, wars in general; but it begs the bigger question: what's the point?



I am afraid for the world, everyone, I don't care who you worship. I am sad.

Not saying this is what happened...only that there is a reason it's in the section called "things I think about".



So, there is no way the US Govt. could/would conceive of a plan that at the sacrifice of its own citizens, enabled us to stage a war? Yeah I didn't think so either. I was disappointed to learn I was wrong. Pay special attention to Number 13, Section D. sub-section (3). Ring any bells?

*NOTE* I have recieved a couple of messages directly asking me if I think the US "set up" the 9-11 bombings.



(The short answer is no, I have seen a videotape, dated December 13, 2001, *allegedly originally released to* the BBC, wherein Osama bin Laden is explicitly talking about the structural damage he predicted to the WTC. Although, I admit, even that tape is controversial.)

I have since changed my opinion, or at the very least am still searching for my own truth in this matter, and it's complicated and I am getting more and more disturbed by what appear to be...major and obvious discrepancies. I guess, I, like many other Americans may have not "wanted" to know alot of these things.



(But let me be very clear when I say that my statement refers to ONLY that I think the specific plan was OBL's.)*Again, I do not know that I still believe this*.





My statement should not be interpreted to mean that it hadn't been dreamed up before, it does not mean that it couldn't have been prevented, nor does it mean that I don't believe that the US was complicit in certain and multiple conditions leading up to the situation; only that there is enough evil in the world that more than one person can act on horrible imaginings.



The link to the documentary that I posted in the 'Filthy Lies' section, has made me re-think much of my original position. I will admit, my original position was hazy. I just took the official version at face value; for a long time I wasn't sure if it was a good thing...well, it felt weird to question it. Now I think I realize that we owe a debt to the people that died that day. Why? Because if we as a country have been complicit in their deaths by our apathy, by not questioning, then the only way their death can be karmically resolved, if you will, is for the truth to be known. Will the truth ever be fully disclosed? I don't know; but I am willing to be open-minded about it.

I'm positive it comes as no real surprise to political insiders that a massive heist has occured in the recent Mexican elections. We have seen the recipe perfected in the last two American elections, and certainly Mexico has pulled off a number of heists of their own.



Everyone was expecting a "demonstration election" however, the real surprise was that so much to-do has been made by Mexican electoral reform, that it seemed unlikely such a brazen heist could be accomplished in the eyes of a watching world. We have known for over a year and a half that Obrador would win; he went into the election as an overwhelming favorite of the Mexican people....but alas, something of a socialist, running on a platform of improving the lives, education and work opportunities of the people, god forbid. The real nail in the coffin comes in his rejection of the self-defeating continuation of NAFTA and his anti-globalization stance. What does that mean? In effect, it means there is no fucking way the neocon US can afford to let Obrador win this election.



Being the masters of election stealing, guess what, as if by magic, Calderon, unpopular with the people, but one hell of a big business supporter is elected in what is immediately recognized as a farce, a faked, a bullshit election. And trust me, if any group of people in the America's have the experience to call bullshit on an election, it's the Mexicans. Though sadly, Americans are developing the knack.



What does it all mean? It means we who claim to support and defend democracy have once again soiled our collective hands in the continued economic rape of a nation of people so that we can have fresh stawberries and tomatoes cheaply. It also, and mark my words, helps to establish a right-wing geo-political alliance that will be helpful when we try to blow the balls off of Venezuela. The excitement never ends.
